Bio: I lived in Ireland for the first half of my life and Philadelphia for the second half--so far! I have always loved Sewing and all things creative . I am starting an inspired sewing and design Blog to connect with like minded friends.
Hi Mary I have just been given a link to your blog by Diane Ericson who thought I would enjoy it….she is right. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland and have just discovered Marcy Tilton and Diane and am bowled over by their designs and artistic flair. I have just ordered 3 of Diane’s patterns and can’t wait for them to arrive so I can get started. I love your interpretation of Fault Lines.
I enjoyed reading about your visit to New York. I was there in April last year and had a super time with my sister and niece. I just wish I had visited the Garment District. Oh well maybe next time.
I look forward to following your blog. Elaine
Thank you Elaine. As you see we are almost neighbors- when I am in Ireland. I honeymooned in Edinburgh and loved it. Diane is amazing and maybe one time you could come to one of her retreats. We have someone from New Zealand this yr.
Happy sewing.
Mary
Hi Mary…found your blog thru Marci Tilton’s blog….I too love sewing especially knits. I worked for a very fine fabric store here in Asheville, NC., Waechter’s Fine Fabrics, which had been in business 85+ years, but recently closed. I too love to sew almost everything. I look forward to reading more….My best, Laura
Hi Laura, thank you for following. I met Marcy at my first sewing retreat in Asheville in 2002 and went back in 2003. I love it there and defiantly want to go back.
Hi Maryglenn, what a lovely interpretation of your jacket “Picking Up The Pieces”. I could feel the love that went into creating your jacket. You are a very talented lady and I encourage you to explore more and thank you for the tutorial. Please share more projects, Deb
Thank you Deb for your nice comment.
I really enjoyed reading your blog. I’m a 62 year old Australian who loves to sew, knit, garden and most other crafty things. I would love to be on your blog mailing list.
Thank you Marlene. More to come!
